For bloggers who specialize in children's literature

Hi Everyone ,
I'm so excited to find a blog that relates to me . I'm a newly published children's author of a great new book called The Treasured Dream. It's a sweet story about a 10 year old boy named Jake who finds himself in an adventure in the past with some pirates and burried treasure. I hope to interest some of you in taking a look at the site.
Please respond after giving the site a look and let me know what you think.

Congrats on being a newly published author - my dream come true! I am a fourth grade teacher and every September we start the year revisiting the idea of maps - and, of course, I use the pirate theme to help excite my students -using all kinds of resources including picture books - so I will definitely look for your title, The Treasured Dream. If you want to send a message to my students about being a writer, or about pirates, or about your inspiration, feel free. Someday, I hope to join the ranks of being a published author, until then...congrats! abby w. gilbert

Hi Abby,
Please except my apologies for the delay in responding to your sweet reply. It has been a straight and narrow road for me since my book came out.The art of being a writer is fantastic but the publicity angle is very difficult. It's very challenging and time consuming.
When I first heard the wonderful news about my book being published, I was estatic but when it came down to getting the news out there to the rest of the world it was hard.Thank goodness for the computer age we live in now.It helps imensly, but still can cause a challenge.
I am presently waiting for my second book to be ready for sale. It's called "Flickers of True Destiny." This is and story about a little girl named GG who has a special surprise coming to her from a place she never knew existed until one day
she discovers her true destiny and a fairy land that had been secretly watching her from a distance.
To your grade four class, I would be honored if they read my book and sent me any questions or comments they may have.
Looking forward to hearing from you :)
